It’s hard to believe people are talking about winter already. After all, we just celebrated Independence Day and winter is still 162 days away. Yet that’s exactly what happened as I heard an inspirational thought during the International Dale Carnegie Franchise Association meeting in Vienna this summer.
Weather-wise, winter can be challenging for many of us. As a metaphor, it is the dreary and unwelcome season in which everything seems so labored, yet even with all our technology and advancements, winter still arrives like clockwork. Mankind over the years has become wiser, stronger, and more resilient because of winter and the lessons it teaches us.
So it is with life and work, winter will come. How will we choose to become wiser, stronger, and more resilient? Drop me a note and let me know how you plan to use winter to your advantage.
Dale Carnegie reminds us to count our blessings — not our troubles.
Onward!
